What I want to do is to trigger this scenario. The webhook is received, which then notifies the user. The user logs in and is then redirected to Stripe Connect Onboarding to collect the new piece of information.

I can test bits of that internally but it would be nice to demo it end to end.

a bunch of people on my team were trying to set up test accounts in this state as well as part of supporting the migration for these new updates but I'm not sure where we ended up, and they're all in the US so not online right now for me to ask

Yeah I'm UK, but even if I have to simulate it using a US account, it's not the end of the world. I guess I expected something like email=future_requirements@example.com which would add some junk future requirement onto the test account in question

ok, apparently the only reliable way to trigger this requires us manually changing an internal detail of the account so it enforces new requirements, there doesn't seem to be a scalable test mode way

I agree and we raised this a lot with the product team that it's hard to test and should have a trigger like you mention exactly but I don't think it got prioritised
