We have this situation with a client who updated its credit card info but the automatic renewing doesn't work and Stripe gives us a message saying invoice_payment_intent_requires_action

It's the second time in three years
Usually 3DS is not used by banks here in Canada and our customers are only from Canada as we're a B2B publication for Canadian professionals

Looking at the transaction - the issuer was the one who determined that they wanted authentication in order to complete the charge. I'd recommend having that customer contact their bank and ask why they believe authentication is required

Not really - in this situation, this was entirely on the issuer's end. They were the ones that decided authentication was needed
