hi! there isn't really a solution, we don't have a way to tell you the conversion before it happens.

I would just transfer an amount that makes sense and communicate to them that you're e.g. transferring them $100 USD and the actual amount they receive might differ a little due to conversion.

Which currency conversion API would you suggest which is close to the stripe conversion fees?

This won't matter much when transferring $100 but will matter when transferring $10000.

I can do this from the dashboard itself, but it would be great if there is any API friendly solution here.

I wouldn't suggest any of them really since the rate we use is mid-market plus markup (https://stripe.com/docs/currencies/conversions#foreign-exchange-rates) . There just isn't a solution.

it's a common feature request to have an API to get the currency conversion in advance and there have been a few betas but nothing public today

In test mode when I make a transfer to my connected account, that is available immediately. Is this the same behavior in live mode as well?

well the transfer is available immediately, as in the money in the connected account's pending balance immediately, yep
