Hi 👋 jumping in as my teammate needs to step away shortly. Looking int he error message provided in the response for the request you just shared, I see that it includes the following message:
Your card is not supported for this currency. You can only charge Brazilian cards in BRL in Brazil.
Could you try creating a Payment Intent with a currency of BRL (rather than USD) to see if that avoids the error that you're encountering?

hmmm, interesting - for our product, no matter what the currency of the buyer or seller, we charge $1 USD for auth for our free trials. Is this something that exists just for the test card? or do you know if this is a Brazil thing? wondering if we are going to have to implement a workaround for prod

I'm not certain whether this is a restriction that applies to all Brazil-based cards or not. I think that might be something our Support team would be more familiar with, and recommend that you see if they have a more definitive answer on that.
