I have migrated from my old account's client subscription to the new account, but in the new account the subscription is billed to the client immediately. What is this situation?

I am afraid you would need to correct the current state. For each created Sub you will need to update them to the trial to make it free. For any client already paid, you would need to issue a credit back to them

You accidentally overbilled a customer
You need to change the Sub to have trial_end as the Doc said, to let it charge normally from the next cycle
If you are uncertain, test with some Test mode Subscription first
like, create a test Sub that charged immediately, then modify it to having trial_end, then advance the clock to next billing cycle and see if it generate invoice as expected
