First of all, why are you using Direct charges with Custom Connect? It's really not recommended.

your documentation says there will be times we will need to do it

@ionic obsidian well we highly recommend never doing this, especially if you are doing Apple Pay + Custom since it can never be tested in Test mode

Mostly as the platform you have to register the domain on the connected account in Live mode with a Live API key and that can't be done with a Test mode account
