No, you need to set this up for each subdomain -- these can have completely different ownership in some circumstances.

Imagine store-a.coolplatform.com and store-b.coolplatform.com and the need to keep those separate

You'll need to add each subdomain explicitly to have them registered with apple to get apple pay buttons showing up
