๐Ÿ‘‹ happy to help

#

could you please share the account id?

ruby badge
#

Yes, our merchant acc: acct_1L8JsCIrJ5fuKUZ3. Our company main account: acct_1K2Y5XKwBfDzGQFq. We have enabled option "Allow connected accounts to customize their own payment methods from the Dashboard" in developer and test mode.

I'll take a look

Hey, taking over here. Can you share which part of the API response is incorrect?

ruby badge
#

Yes, wait a few minutes, please.

#

We disabled at this account iDeal payment method.

trim linden
#

Yup, the capabilities hash is a reflection of the payment methods that are setup/connected on the account. This specific account did previously have iDEAL enabled, so its considered 'active' on their account

#

However if its disabled in the Dashboard settings, it won't appear in any payment UIs

#

Let me know if anything is unclear

ruby badge
#

In relation to this, how can we know which payment methods are disabled? In merchant store, We show payment methods on order checkout process. When user select, e.g., iDEAL, we redirect he to Stripe Checkout.

trim linden
#

Which payment UIs are you using?

#

Like a custom page that redirects according to which PM they select?

ruby badge
#

Yes, we have the own custom page.

#

In this example: shop client select Visa payment, and we redirect shop client to Stripe Checkout. We must know which payment methods is enabled in Stripe Dashboard because we show it on checkout process.

trim linden
#

Yeah, there's no real ideal solution in this instance I'm afraid

ruby badge
#

Ok, what is the best solution for us?

trim linden
#

What other payment processor are you using?

ruby badge
#

Many. Merchant can choose different operators for pay-by-link and card payments.

#

We can change our integration, and we can show on checkout process only Stripe icon, which will be redirect to Stripe Checkout. But on kick-off Tad Baljevic says that is no good solution because Stripe is not recognizable like an e.g. PayPal.

trim linden
#

I don't know who that is

#

But right now there's no API to surface which PMs are enabled on an account

ruby badge
#

Tad is Stripe Solution Architect ๐Ÿ™‚

trim linden
#

You could just show Other payment methods

ruby badge
#

What do you mean?

trim linden
#

Instead of trying to list the enabled PMs on the Stripe account

ruby badge
#

Summary: actually we can't by API which payment methods is realy turned on?

trim linden
#

Correct

ruby badge
#

Thank you very much.

#

Good day ๐Ÿ™‚

You too!
