According to the documentation, I am supposed to see the "samples panel"
I do not see that Start with a Stripe Sample

Do you also have Stripe CLI installed?

I am aware of the github repository https://github.com/stripe-samples but I do not know how to make these appear in VSCode
Yes, I do have the latest Stripe CLI installed

That's really odd. I went through a fresh installation and came up with the same issue
Oh wait... there's a big S in the menu now
Do you have that on yours? Mine has Samples in it

Brilliant observation @storm apex (I failed to see the big S ) Click on that button does create the Samples (and WEBHOOKS) (sub) panels - but they are empty
I think that I am supposed to select something inside samples panel to start.

That's really odd. I know it's going to sound like a simple suggestion, but have you tried deleting it and reinstalling the extension?

I would be very suspicious if that would work (it's a definition of unreliability😀. I will start this immediately and come back

Hate to ask you to do it, but I'm fresh out of ideas. Aside from the obvious quit and restart vscode, I'm not sure what else to suggest

So, I did uninstall stripe, exit VSCode, start VSCode, search for Stripe extension, installed it again and clicked on big S button. The result is the same as on my image https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/983831981353742376/983840010639929394/unknown.png?width=992&height=1028
VSCode version Version: 1.67.2 (Universal), MacOS 12.4 (Universal) Node Version 4.16.0 - not sure whether this all relevant to this case
My data should be sufficient to pass this issue to your support team - it is unlikely that I created a pilot error
