Hi there! Testing in production is against regulations so we can't recommend it... I recommend you use test mode instead.

Oh wow, so how would I go about being confident that my integration is working besides using test mode?

Well you should be confident that test mode means your integration is working! Like I said... I can't recommend that you test in production

Could you help me understand that? Does that mean if I'm in the US, and I want to test a payment as if I'm in Italy that I can, make a payment to an account that is configured in italy for 35 USD and it'll allow me to test in EUR? -- I think I'm a bit confused by what that means

Huh that's interesting. I actually didn't know that was included in our docs. Let me double check because that does make me think that Klarna may be unique in being okay with production testing.

Ok thanks!

I'm assuming this might take a second, but can you confirm that this thread is still active when you get a second? Want to make sure I should be checking back here periodically

Hi there apologies for the delay. While you are able to test this in production, we still recommend testing with test API keys

Ok can you help me understand what this means from the docs though? "For production testing, you can use an amount of 3500 in your local currency to test all Klarna payment options besides Financing. For example, if you want to test “Pay in 3” in Italy, you can use a transaction of 35.00 EUR."

If I wanted to test a scenario of a customer in Netherlands and an account in Germany could I do that by just setting the price of the product at 35.00 EUR? I don't think that would be enough to mimic myself as a user in the Netherlands

I acknowledge that the recommendation is test mode testing, just want to understand this better

But still highly recommend just testing in test mode
