These bank account/routing numbers match the specifications for banks in India, AFAIK.
India does have some very specific and nuanced financial regulations but I'm afraid I'm not an expert on those.

We need to make sure that we support all of the bank types. Does stripe have an API way to figure out what type of bank they most likely used so we can show them the proper form?

We don't have an API for bank format. You would either need to go through the different currencies and add your own validation, or you would attempt to create the account with our API and handle validation errors that way.

understood, thanks! is your plaid competitor open yet to the public? And does that have the necessary custom bank input available? I know Plaid has ONLY bank integrations, and doesn't allow users to input their bank numbers manually.
