So, setting the payout interval to manual worked for me after disabling the Plattform Controller in the dashboard settings

You can apparently set it to manual - but a Standard account can still create manual payouts on their own.

I have tried it

You'd have to talk to Support to get an exception

#

i.e. you can cause payouts, but so can the Standard account holder

#

If your intent is to keep them from being able to initiate their own payouts manually (i.e. hold funds), you need an exception from Suppport

#

It's another reason I'm using Express in my app

#

(see above link)

OK, thank you for the advice, I will check this.

#

On the other side, the user does not know, how to open its dashboard, there is no Opportunismus for that on our page

#

*opportunity

Well, yes, but "security through obscurity" rarely ends well

(just 40 years experience in security issues)

Thats right

And the onboarding is through Stripes dashboard, so tricky to hide it.

I'm wondering, why the dev in the thread haven't mentioned that...

toxic heart
#

Well, I seem to be covering the same things they would...😀

#

It's a business choice. Standard account with (I think) direct charges are financially responsible for refunds/chargebacks - "in exchange" for this transfer of liability, they have more independence. Platforms are ultimately responsible for money flows on Express and Custom accounts, "in exchange" for having control over the accounts

So, the only Problem is, that the connect customer is still be able to change again the payout interval via his dashboard, even if I disable the controls?

#

That's really weird

toxic heart
#

Well, they can't change the interval (i.e. can't set it back to automatics, at least that's how I read it) BUT they can initiate a manual payout

#

(only Standard - as I said, it's a trade-off of liability vs control)
