"Trial end (1656788400) cannot be after billing_cycle_anchor (1654516099). Consider ending the trial (trial_end=now)."

Yep, you'll need to update billing_cycle_anchor too: https://stripe.com/docs/billing/subscriptions/trials#combine-trial-anchor
