Okay so I'm seeing an authentication failure
So something the customer provided to Klarna failed authentication
you can provide any further details?
as strangely our users' customers are saying they couldn't buy they get some errors
but on our end we see nothing really
Unfortunately I cannot. This is a response Klarna sends to us.
We only see the declination from Klarna
The Klarna payment method was having issues that resulted in a high number of failures. I'm looking but I don't think Klarna provided more details to us.
so Klarna was having issues always or just lately? and was that with all other Connect users?
Just lately
all other platforms face the same issue?
and you have any suggestions of what can be done?

From what I can see this may have be related to an issue with Klarna's API software. Therefore it's not something we can address ourselves other than not using that Payment Method.

unfortunately cannot suggest to our users in Germany Klarna is essential.
so do you confirm that this problem was reported by other users directly?
is it Klarna sabotaging Stripe's integration to force developers to use Klarna's API directly to cut the middleman (stripe)?
That is reading way too much into what can be just an honest bug in the code. I cannot say what caused the failure or if there are any motivations behind it. I can tell you the facts that we reported Klarna API failures internally today and that may be related. However. it may still be an actual authentication failure on the part of your customers.

or something we can do short term, as we can't ask all our Germany users to simply shutdown their businesses

yes @tidal canopy many PIs pass, but huge number does not which causes our users frustration its not natural
as if those sales are failing at random! there is no difference otherwise
that's why i asked why some are failing and some are not?
Okay and I have shared with you what I can find about that. I'm sorry but I don't have any further information about what may be causing this. Have you reached out to Klarna?

and Klarna keeps telling them to integrate directly with their Klarna API!!!! not through stripe
that's why I guessed it might be sabotaging the Stripe integration to keep more $$$
it seems that's what we will do, we will try to integrate with Klarna directly, though we have a partnership with Stripe and wanted to keep all payment methods through Stripe itself... but if the problem is not resolved I think we are free to seek what's best for our users... as we cannot ask them to stop taking klarna payments especially in Germany...
