I'm only using stripe.checkout.sessions.create to create a stripe hosted payment, i'm passing my metadata in the props. How come they are available at the payment_intent and not checkout.session.completed?

my guess is that you are not passing the metadata properly and are putting it inside payment_intent_data instead. Do you have a concrete example I can look at?

we create them by hand. Discord's UI make it hard to distinguish threads

so we do <person_name>-<word>-<question> or similar
