#brayden - subscription cycle

We setup schedules on our subscriptions to simulate an annual renewal
Then we listen for the webhook event of the paid invoice to tell us to update the customer's profile on our side once they've successfully paid for their renewal
I've been told in this discord previously that we should be able to track the "period start" of the first line item on the renewal invoice to determine whether this is a renewal invoice or not
It should match up to the start date of the subscription that we track on our side + 1.year (if that makes sense)
However, on this invoice, the "period start" was May 11th, when the subscription cycle was setup to charge this invoice on May 20th
Just wondering why that date was May 11th, and not May 20th like we were expecting?
Thank you for the detail, will check in to that.
When you discussed this before here, was it mentioned that you may also be able to check the billing_reason on these invoices? It will be subscription_cycle if the invoice is for a subscription renewal payment
Are you doing something with these subscriptions other than setting them up and letting them charge again in a year where that billing reason may be affected?
wait I am already doing that one @glacial skiff
I created a thread before you
Let's close this one and chat in mine
My bad, thanks!
