not sure , I would ask https://support.stripe.com/?contact=true instead as it's not directly related to code or the API, they would know better what is and is not allowed in livemode

OK, asking, to understand if the api doesnt fail if user adds a saving bank in production or the payout should not fail

it's not a coding question just because you might get an error from the API, when it's more about what we allow from a policy/product perspective

like you say, the docs seem inconsistent so you should reach out to support so they can get clarity and raise the feedback and get the docs updated
