Yeah but I don't want to have to do that on every transaction because we're not notified when they change it
And there are a lot of them
if it were truncated it'd be fine, but I don't want to have to deal with a transaction failure because somebody put Shakespeare in charge of their statement descriptor
or is there a maximum length possible for the prefix on an account?
so we can assume 'we always have 11 chars to work with' or something like that

And yes there is a limit for shortened descriptor of 12 characters I believe

Yeah I think it is 10 characters and then we add a * to the shortened descriptor and then append your dynamic suffix
