While I'm finding out, can I ask why you want to do this?
I would like to be able to test m2 reader update with our app. We did the initial testing with simulated device but... nothing like the real thing.

We have several devices on hand and all of them are now updated to the latest firmware.
I gotcha. I don't think this is possible currently but I've asked the team so I'll let you know when I hear back

Yes, that is what I thought initially as well but it does not roll back the firmware. Its a hard reboot only.
