#Senhor - subscription price updates
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Hello, when you say you changed the prices, do you mean you deleted the old ones and created new ones? Or did you change this some other way?
Gotcha, that will not automatically update the prices on existing Subscriptions. Those subscriptions will stay at the same price, you just can't create any new subscriptions at that price.
To update the subscriptions, you will want to make the Subscription update call on each subscription that you have for those prices
and this update call must be done via cli or also by stripe dashboard interface?
You can choose exactly how these updates work, when the new price starts, if they get credit and so on
Can be done via either
Ok, thanks. One last thing, coudl you please point me to some resources about this? like a stripe doc link?
Anyway so far so fantastic Stripe and its assistance. You people are great, fast to reply, professionals. The documentation also is superb in general. Amazing work!
Here is the doc on the API call itself https://stripe.com/docs/api/subscriptions/update
And here is a guide on changing subscription prices more generally, it covers things like proration which would help you charge/credit for partial months https://stripe.com/docs/billing/subscriptions/upgrade-downgrade
And you may also be interested in our doc on customer credit if you want to manually issue credit outside of your calls to update subscriptions https://stripe.com/docs/billing/customer/balance
Glad to hear you've had such a good experience! Let me know if you have any more questions from those or otherwise
