As you can see both states refer to creating a first TEST product
When I use the impersonation feature I do see products I created through the API earlier

(that's the connected account id)
However, it happens for all of the accounts still in the restricted state I can click to via our platform account
Kind of freaked out as I thought we didn't properly create Products and Prices for new accounts, but now it seems like old and new connect accounts that are still in the restricted state have this behaviour

I just checked a couple accounts through the impersonation feature ('View dashboard as this account') and in all cases the products/prices do show up through that view
So I think there is confusion here.
it looks like you are viewing the products on your platform.
Where you indeed haven't created products yet in livemode, though I do see 2 in testmode.
This is different than creating products directly on the Connected Account (whihc you can see by using the "View as")
In terms of why the account is restricted... the Products aren't really relevant. The account needs an external account and to accept the ToS

I understand the difference, so I'm pretty confident this is a bug. If I open the UI I screenshotted above for a Completed connect account I do see the products in that account, not the ones in our platform account

Are you saying that when you "View as" it always defaults to test mode?
That is the case yes, but when using View as I'm able to turn off test mode and see products I've created through the API
Okay so the "bug" you are saying is that you would expect us to "view as" in livemode if your platform is flipped to livemode but we are defaulting to testmode regardless
And this doesn't happen for non-restricted accounts

So this isn't actually about the view as
It is the Connected Accounts Products tab on your platform
