i am using card-element in my application
in that i dont want zip filed
fie;d
field
It's possible to disable it in the Stripe element, but will you be collecting the postal code in your own elements instead? It is important to collect it and provide it for payments in certain countries as it reduces fraud
how to disabled that code
will you be collecting the postal code in your own elements instead?
no
then can you expand on why you want to hide the postal code input please?
it's 5 characters and in some countries like India its 6 characters
So it will be confusing to customer due to limit of 5 characters
so customer can not type complete zipcode
400063
can we make it optional? and can we increase the no. of characters allowed?
we don't ask for it in India.
the way it works is it's based on the country of the card. I assume you tested with 4242424242424242 ? That card is american in our systems so it asks for a US Postal code, which is 5 numbers
if you try with a card from a different country like the Indian one on https://stripe.com/docs/testing#asia-pacific you'll see that when customers using cards from those countries use the Stripe Element, we don't ask for a postal code, or if we do, we ask for it in the right format for that country
okay its clearify
if i dont provide the zip code is it affect on other functionality
is phone number is mandatory payment scrrren
sorry, can you rephrase the question? Are you asking a question?
in payment screen is phone number is mandatory
no
