It's possible to disable it in the Stripe element, but will you be collecting the postal code in your own elements instead? It is important to collect it and provide it for payments in certain countries as it reduces fraud

bronze cliff
#

how to disabled that code

unborn sparrow
#

will you be collecting the postal code in your own elements instead?

bronze cliff
#

no

unborn sparrow
#

then can you expand on why you want to hide the postal code input please?

bronze cliff
#

it's 5 characters and in some countries like India its 6 characters
So it will be confusing to customer due to limit of 5 characters

#

so customer can not type complete zipcode
400063

#

can we make it optional? and can we increase the no. of characters allowed?

unborn sparrow
#

we don't ask for it in India.

#

the way it works is it's based on the country of the card. I assume you tested with 4242424242424242 ? That card is american in our systems so it asks for a US Postal code, which is 5 numbers

#

if you try with a card from a different country like the Indian one on https://stripe.com/docs/testing#asia-pacific you'll see that when customers using cards from those countries use the Stripe Element, we don't ask for a postal code, or if we do, we ask for it in the right format for that country
