Ok is there a general release date planned for this api?

Also is there a particular reason invoices would be discouraged here? Might use that since it’s already in general release

I don't have a specific date for when we will consider this GA, but it is public beta so it is stable and I recommend using it unless you want to utilize invoices (which works for auto tax as well).

I assume you recommend orders, bc invoicing may be overkill and has unecessary complexity, but what may that complexity be

If we were to change anything with a public beta then we would reach out and let you know... otherwise we would break a lot of integrations.

So yes, you can assume it is stable. I can't guarantee 100% that we won't change something, but if we did we would give you ample time to make updates to your integration.

And more likely we would just allow you to keep the past behavior.
