Hello! Just starting a thread for you -- I'll review and respond as soon as I can 🙂

No, Terminal payments are currently only via direct payment intents. You cannot currently use the payment intent created automatically by an invoice with Terminal.

ok, thank you. so if i wanted to add a field to the receipt, like a company address?
do I need to either put it in the description field (don't know if it would make much sense), or create my own email template/flow?

Are you referring to invoices, or terminal payments?

hoary gust
#

i must do terminal payments.

#

the invoices was just a way to work around the low customizability of receipt templates

#

so if invoices are not compatible with terminal payments, i can't do them

That's correct - you'd need to implement your own receipts for that, then

thinking out loud, but there is no way to customize the subject/body of the email perhaps?

#

the receipt's description field doesn't support html tags, does it?

#

Prebuilt receipt emails have very little customization available

I found the article a little confusing as to how I'd make the custom receipts... this would not use Stripe at all, except for getting some compliance information, is that correct?

Meaning i need my own email provider, html template etc.

Yes that's right (or a physical printer, if you wanted to provide a paper receipt at the point of sale)

sending myself a test receipt from a test payment didn't send any of the info listed in the compliance info... is it just because it's a test?

#

ok, the fields in the payment intent were null

#

except for account_type: credit
