I wouldn't say that's the only reason - one of the biggest benefits of Payment Element is that if you want to integrate with multiple types of Payment Methods you'd only have to integrate with a single element (whereas in the past you'd need a different element for each type)

Yeah, that's true - and there are other downsides where some flows (like creating a Payment Method) are not supported right now

Ya, we've built stuff with the Wallet element and Card element -- was some pain involved 😄 thanks Karbi!

@coarse spear i guess you stil need to build a coupon field for the Payment Element too?

I don't think there are any plans to build a coupon field for Payment Element - coupons are typically used for invoices/subscriptions, whereas Payment Element is meant to work with simple Payment Intents.
