Can Stripe allow refund request first before asking me what happened?
Because if I sell one object.
And object is being delivered to the person.
And the person doesn't return the object back to me and asks for a refund.
I'll lose the object + money
You can protect yourself from being dispute by using 3D Secure
It will shift the dispute liability to issuers instead of you as a merchant
Oh, I thought disputes like 'HEY GIVE MY MONEY BACK BECAUSE NO REASON!'
in an angry customer voice
How can I include 3D secure in my create api?
So:
- 3DS -> You are automatically protected from dispute
- Non-3DS -> Submit evidence and Stripe will try our best to fight for you. More here: https://stripe.com/docs/disputes/categories
You can do your best by supporting 3DS. But it's still depends on the customer. They could use a card which doesn't support 3DS
