I believe that you need to attach the PM to a Customer to be able to re-use it. Have you been re-using a PM without a customer successfully? If you can then yes you should be fine to use it without a customer and we won't specially purge them.

No, we're in process of setting up our flow and wondering if this step is absolutely necessary

Gotcha, sorry the server is a bit busy now or I would test myself. Definitely worth checking out on your side if you can, other than potentially being required like that I think you should be good

Nope, all good. The docs definitely explicitly state that a Customer must be created, but we're curious lol. Appreciate it!
