Hi! Yes I have some updates on this.

The behavior you showed me is odd, but it's actually expected.
Because when you're in a trial, and change the subscription from free to non-free, we create a $0 invoice. You can try that yourself. So when using the upcoming invoice, you see that $0 invoice.
One workaround would be to pass subscription_trial_end:now in the upcoming invoice, to see the actual amount the customer will have to pay.
