yes, but only in certain circumstances (in custom javascript, probably)

or maybe i need to remove it from the paymentintent to affect that..?

In JS you can change the order of the payment method as explained here: https://stripe.com/docs/js/elements_object/create_payment_element#payment_element_create-options-paymentMethodOrder
But it's not possible to remove a payment method. So you would need to change your PaymentIntent.
