Most all of the data on those should stay around for a while. The one thing that I can think of expires is webhook event data

i am storing only the payment intent id as the foreign key referene in my transaction table. if i wanted to get the details in one or two years will the api be able to provided it.

I believe so but am not 100% sure. I am asking my colleagues now

From what I can see, most of our payment data is retained for two to seven years. If you are looking to save your data for that far down the line, it may be best to save some of it yourself.
