YEs all payments are made using payment intents within our platform. I create the payment intent on our backend and confirm it in our client

For some reason im now getting 401 when trying to display payment element on our client

Yes you can use Connect. We have an issue internally with Payment Element right now. We are investigating and working on a fix.
