Hey river! We plan to trigger payments in the web-based POS application which supports Stripe terminals.
We've already asked them if they can work with the BBPOS WisePOS E terminal but didn't get a precise answer.
According to the server-driven flow, there shouldn't be a need for a local device?
Your application <-> Your backend <-> Stripe <-> Stripe terminal
With server driven integration, it does not need to be on same local network. I just tested on my own terminal, it works on different networks
That's all I needed to know, thanks!
Please note that server-driven approach is only available in US
We are based in NY, so that shouldn't be a problem. But thanks for pointing that out!
Actually, that brings up a question - does that mean that the Stripe terminal device will not work outside US at all?
(the integration will be done in Europe and we planned to ship a device to Europe)
The account and registered location of the terminal in the account must be US. The development can be outside of US
That should work, thanks!
