But for large AoV, debits are going to be much cheaper

And as a follow up: once I get money from my customers (i.e influencers), I want to pay out my connected accounts (the brands). My understanding from here https://stripe.com/docs/connect/payouts-bank-accounts there is a limit if I payout my users using their card. Is there a limit if I use their bank account?

Nope, there is only a limit on Instant Payouts to cards.

Got it - Can I enforce accounts during onboarding to enter their bank account instead of their cards? (I am using express accounts)

My understanding is that I need bank accounts too to be able to debit them (in case of refunds)

You can't control this unless you pre-fill the external account for the Express user.
