Hi there! No, once the PaymentMethod has been created, if it wasn't created with a PaymentIntent that has setup_future_usage then it can't be set up in the future, it will be consumed.

Gotcha so just to confirm there is no way to grab the payment method after the fact and link it to a customer as a saved payment method

Not unless it was created with a PaymentIntent that had setup_future_usage set on it
