definitely kind of weird since I can't find tax_reporting_us_1099_nec existing internally except in docs so I must be missing something

yep, I see that. Ok, sorry, I'm just lost, as far as I can tell that capability doesn't actually exist, only in docs. My guess is it's something we're going to add during the year in time for the next US tax season and for some reason we released the docs before it was ready.

I asked some people internally to try to get some clarity but won't get an answer until more of the west coast is online. For now I'd suggest just not using this capability.

Ok, please keep me up to date, I don't want to use an incorrect tax form and from what I've read the 1099-NEC form replaces the 1099-MISC form, and the 1099-K form does not apply to me.
