unfortunately, we don't have a way to help you update set the payment methods as a default payment method. To prevent this from happening, you would want to set the PaymentMethod as the default payment method on your customer : https://stripe.com/docs/billing/subscriptions/build-subscriptions?ui=elements#default-payment-method

Could you confirm that manually making existing CC as default, it will capture the failed payments during the retrying period?
if the retry period isn't up yet then it will auto retry with the newly set default cc the next attempt

Just one more question about my subscription setting.
So all these subscriptions are "payment installment" like Pay in 10 per say.
So I needed them to continue charging even if the previous payment is failed.
I set it this way so it continues and I can still check the failed payments by filtering subscription as overdue.
Am in the right direction?
Also confirming that if the invoice is in retrying it's under the smart retrying schedule?
