Previously, there was no concept of mandate at all with the legacy ACH flow, so if you weren't previously collecting mandate information you would have to add this to your flow - you can read more about mandates for ACH here (https://stripe.com/docs/payments/ach-debit#mandates).

I think I basically have an online mandate by this definition I would just need to add some text like described.

if I changed it to Online would I need to add more data in the customer_acceptance array?

If it's online you'll want to also populate the mandate_data.customer_acceptance.online hash
