I was able to confirm that US accounts can only have USD settlement: https://stripe.com/docs/payouts I'm afraid.

That's not what I was told yesterday. So is there no way to accept multiple currencies and keep funds in that currency to pay out to connected accounts?

From reading the thread yesterday, you're using Separate Transfers and Charges. Given that your platform is in the US, it will only accept USD settlement. There is no way around it.

That's a pretty big caveat that I didn't see anywhere in your documentation. Specifically, https://stripe.com/docs/connect/currencies#currency-conversions doesn't say anything about the US being a special case.
