I'd like to rethink the whole process of this tickets reservation. Firstly, maybe it will be better to setup a webhook, and only reserve tickets only when status is requires_action and only then setup a timer which will check every 5 seconds if the time since the status change to requires_action is greater than 10 minutes then cancel the booking, this will give us confidence that the session on p24 is over and the user will not be able to pay there anymore

10 minutes - for example, maybe you know the exact expiry time of the p24 session?

I don't know the exact expiry of that, no, but this is a logistic decision you'll need to determine based on your business needs. There is a balance to strike between over and under reserving inventory during async payments.
