#Alex Rodriguez - terminal
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
btw, the client managed to ping from computer to terminal, however I still have to manage to arrange a support meeting with them to see if nslookup succeeds, and to verify that indeed they managed to change both computer as well as terminal DNSs to 1.1.1.1, 8.8.8.8
in the meantime, I thought I would ask because we keep getting more reports like this, and all of them are from Free ISP (using ipv6)
Got it. Let me check with a colleague who might know more about this. Will report back
thanks!

Do you have what network request that is being made and is failing from the network tab?
no that I don't have, as I have yet to schedule a support session with one of these customers
I just wanted to know if you happen to know about any common problem related to ISPs that use IPv6
if you can't think of any particular reason now, then I'll have more info after Monday, I'll come back with some request traces from chrome developer tools
I'll ask the customer to email to me
Ok sounds good. Once you have more info we can debug further. I asked my colleague, and they said there isn't a known issue with IPv6
ok thanks for your time
Oh wait actually. One moment
Does the internal network only serve ipv6? The external network ip shouldn't matter though
the ip of the terminal is normal ip v4: "ip_address":"192.168.1.173"
and the ping from computer to that address is successful
Ok cool
Can you also ask what the exact behavior in the browser network console is when you talk to the customer next?
For when you come back Monday
yes I will for sure
