#msms - destination OBO

Thank you!
From that doc, it sounds like you will always receive the application fee in the connected account's settlement currency when using destination + OBO. I will see if there is a way around that but I am not immediately thinking of one.
Sorry what is OBO?
Is there a reason here other than just not wanting to accumulate balances in multiple currencies?

Wait, you said without on behalf of
Yes we are not using OBO right now
Is there a reason here other than just not wanting to accumulate balances in multiple currencies?
I am not completely sure actually. I guess I was wondering if currency conversions were costly. Since the charge gets converted to USD first, I thought it would make sense for the application fee to be taken out directly, instead of being taken out after double conversion
So that paragraph seems to say that if you use transfer_data[amount] that your application fee will be retained in USD. Which is what you are looking for here, correct?
are there any implications to using transfer_data[amount] rather than application fee, aside from the fact that the amount will be retained in USD?
Looking in to this. I know there are but I am not immediately remembering them
Sure take your time, thank you

It seems like it can add some complexity to reporting/reconciliation as well: https://stripe.com/docs/connect/destination-charges#transfer-amount
