The goal is to allow the customer to input their payment method via Stripe Element, then make future purchases using Shopify Checkout for some items on our site and Stripe Payments for other items
ideally, we'd like customers to only have to enter payment info once (for Stripe) and use it for both Shopify Checkout (headless) and future Stripe PaymentIntents

Quick question - have you talked to shopify about this at all? I don't have a lot of insight into how Shopify's integration works, so they would be the better people to ask some of these questions
