#Max RS - CLI installation

When you say it gets stuck, what's the exact behavior?
Can you share a screenshot?
I can prepare a screenshot but it would mean I'll get back in 10min
So basically I was successfully able to run brew uninstall stripe/stripe-cli/stripe
The moment I run brew install stripe/stripe-cli/stripe it starts doing the installation, prints 2 or 3 lines in the terminal (I'll share a screenshot later)
from that point onwards I am unable to open new applications (such as the activity monitor)
Let's say I have a browser open, when refreshing a tab, it keeps spinning and never succeeds
Any attempt to close an application results in the application getting frozen, my cursor spinning and the only way to get out of this is to do a force quit of all applications and reboot my machine
I have done this cycle several times now
I also disabled 'open with rosetta' on my terminal app settings to see if that would change anything
I tried recording a loom video but I was never able to complete the recording because my machine got stuck, so nothing to share ther
Interesting. Wondering if this is a brew issue
Can you run brew upgrade and see what happens?
Assuming you don't already have the latest version
I filmed the whole process with my phone just now
Trying to upload it but the file is too big
I can try upgrading brew
Hello ๐
Taking over for @ember sparrow here
Sounds like an issue with brew or the network connection ๐ค
have you used brew to install any other packages?
About to head out, but note "update" is a different command than "upgrade"
upgrade updates brew
update upgrades the packages
Try running brew upgrade
got it, doing it now
that is a video filmed by my phone
Ok I can confirm that now it works, after completing the brew upgrade and installing the stripe cli on a different network (mobile phone tethering). I do not know which one of both was causing the issues though but the end result is what matters and I thank you for that ๐
Awesome! Glad you're unblocked ๐
