Do you have to add the items in Stripe in order for this to work?

you can do both actually, either have products and prices configured in stripe, or use your own cart system and then just create a Payment Intent with the cart total amount

Im doing a project for a client and he wants to have stripe as a checkout, and i notice that the code in videoes are mostly JS or JSON but do you think by just following tutorials i will be able to create a checkout system?
