Only direct charges are recommended with standard accounts yes
While it's possible to use other flows, that is not recommended. It can lead to some tricky situations to handle eg for refunds, chargeback etc.
If you have time, could you explain to me better why isn't recommended?
There are lots of reasons, it depends on what you're doing. But one example would be a future chargeback, but the connected account is no longer connected and your platform is responsible for the disputed payment, rather than the connected account
Similarly, the connected account has no ability to refund customers when needed, it has to involve your platform and reverse transfer flows.
Why do you want to use separate charge and transfer?
because I have a cart in the app, and the final customer can buy products from different "connected accounts"
And the fees will be different based on the connected account
(the fees my platform takes)
and also shipment costs maybe handled by my platform, so shipment costs will be seperate and go to the platform balance
it's a mess
as I read on the docs I don't think direct transfers can handle that
