Hello, let me testing out around a little bit

#

Let me explain

#

That option does a bit different thing. It allows your customer to have their info saved if they visit other merchants also using Stirpe Checkout. You can think of an ecosystem that 1000 merchants using Stripe Checkout, I am a customer registered in one merchant website, and can have seamless payment experience over the other 999 merchants

#

But even without that option, within your own Stripe account, user can still see their payment method saved next time, like you see

#

Is there a way to disable this functionality?
I don't think there is, but let me search around

#

Yeah there isn't AFAIK. You can reach out to Support to confirm. But I think it's convenience for your customer, letting them checkout faster which will really benefit your business in the long run

Thank you very much for the quick response. Is it the same for Stripe Live? I assume there will be cases when you would not want to save your card information for safety reasons.

Do you mean Live mode? Yes it's the same. The Customer can simply not ticking the box to avoid their card being saved, I think?

But I am not ticking the box and it is still saved here. Do you mean it's not the same?

fluid lagoon

Ah I meant not ticking the box = not saved across merchants. Do you mean to not save even in your own merchant?

Yep

That's default behavior. That PaymentMethod will be attached to the customer after Checkout is completed

#

Ok, thank you. I can get back to business and tell them this is default behaviour that we cannot change.

@lyric rivet let's continue here

Ok, thanks. Can we hide the 'Save my card' checkbox?

Yeah I think we don't provide an option to either disable or hide it. Please please check with Support!
