building a Connect integration with Custom is really complex. It usually takes a large development team and months of planning
Do you have the resources to staff this? It's unlikely you can do any of this in Bubble with low-code interfaces

Hmmmm oh ok no I didn't know this. It is only a two man dev team so maybe not. I basically need to be able to pay out to certain users (trades people) who may get a bit scared off if they have to go through a whole stripe sign up after they sign up for our system. Is there a better option?

Honestly, your customers should be a lot less scared to give their personal information to Stripe than to your own implementation
That's our entire business to securely collect that information on your behalf and it's a lot safer to do this.
So my advice is to "teach" your users why they should trust Stripe and you can co-brand the onboarding with your own business. But you really can't build such an integration on your own with Custom accounts without investing a few weeks at least into this. Large companies still use our Connect Onboarding product because it's so hard to build this right

Awesome thank you for the info. that was my recommendation to the CEO anyway so I might go with that. Last qwuestion is it possible to make payments to their bank accounts using bsb and account numbers instead of using their card details?

yes it is, it's even the only way. "card details" are for instant payouts and are mostly limited to really specific country and just USD. In most countries you collect bank account details instead. See https://stripe.com/docs/connect/payouts-bank-accounts

yep, your customers would need to sign up as connected accounts (i.e. use Stripe Connect) so that you can pay out to them via their bank details
