Ok, that's exepcted because the customer has upgrade to the new plan on 20 Mar

Therefore in the 11 Apr bill you have 3 items

  • Remaining time on the new plan
  • unused time on the old plan
  • the new plan for next month (11 Apr - 11 May)

The "Small farms" should be cancelled and the customer should just be billed $25 per month.

OK, so your customer upgrade from Small Farms to Advanced on 20 Mar, they've started using Advanced after the upgrade.

However, you have already chareged the whole month usage of Small Farms on 11 Mar, that's why you see a unused time on the old plan in the inovice.

On the other hand, since the customer only started using Advanced on 20 Mar, you charged them with the prorated price, and that' where the Remaining time on Advanced after 20 Mar 2022 coming from.

This subscription's collection_method is charge_automatically, so Stripe will automatically charge your cutomer with the saved payment method when the invoice is open.

Based on your settings, Stripe can also send an email receipt to your customer.
