Hey Bismarck! No worries I appreciate the help!
I actually did some digging and found this article which may be the solution, consulting my team now to see how we have our Stripe configured
Ah unless this is subscriptions, which we are not using
๐ Hopping in since discord is busy
When you refer to the "email link" are you talking about the email that is sent as part of the "Send emails to customers to update failed card payment methods" setting in the dashboard here (https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/billing/automatic)
Sign in to the Stripe Dashboard to manage business payments and operations in your account. Manage payments and refunds, respond to disputes and more.
Hey hey! Yup! Is it expected behavior to send the user back to the company site to update their payment info and then try the collection process again? Or is it expected behavior to have the user click the update payment info button in the email, and the user is taken to a hosted page to input their new card info, and pay for the invoice right then and there
For example, the update payment info URL is back to the company website, rather than a hosted webform to update/charge the new card
When you say hosted webform are you talking about a Stripe-hosted page?
Yes, sorry about that
So typically, I hear of most users sending their customers back to their own site (which can optionally then redirect to a Stripe-hosted page) to re-collect payment info. I don't believe there's a good way to directly take the user to a Stripe-hosted page from the "Update payment information" button
Ah okay thank you for the info, I wasn't sure if this was expected or not. Thank you for clarifying!
๐ happy to help!
