Hi!
Hi 👋
Do you have a request ID?
Yes sir req_1JSgDequztHzit
I got that form our Stripe Connect platform
it clearly stats funding -> prepaid
This is frm the customer to me in support
I checked with Stripe and their specialized team investigated and provided the following: "we’re not seeing any blocks for the customer’s card on our side, and we’re not seeing any errors on the Logs nor can find the customer's charge attempt."
The card that the customer used is this https://novo.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360022415672-Is-the-Novo-debit-card-prepaid-
It says on their website that its not prepaid.
So, why did Stripe support said that they don't even see a request when we can see it clearly in the Connect platform. And why is Stripe reporting it as prepaid if their own website says its not
If you could shed some light so I can guide this customer on what to do 😄
this is a successful creation of a payment method request. What are you trying to do with it?
Customer was making a purchase on a website using our integration but she was blocked by our integration because the website did not enable Prepaid Cards. The issue is that the Customer said the card is not prepaid and the novo website always sais its not prepaid BUT the Stripe data says it is so we blocked it (based on the settings in our code)
If you can see on your end that the card is Prepaid then I can tell my customer to reach out to you guys again for confirmation of that.
To make it easier a bit for you to understand: Customer wants to purchase and says/knows her card is not prepaid. Stripe however tells us (via code) that the card is indeed prepaid.
Who's wrong lol
we have it as prepaid. In that case it sounds like the proble is with how Novo set up the card
Got it. So she needs to reach out to Novo?
Hold on, let me look at how this was created
Just as an fyi, we run the same integraion of lots of other websites (ecommerce platform) and don't have any issues. This specific case only but from what you said and what we see its the problem that the card shows as prepaid for Stripe
Yes this is rather weird.
I'm assuming that you guys (Stripe) don't set the card as prepaid intentionally right? That info maybe comes from their bank right?
Yes that is not something we configure
